It's Soccer Season!

The soccer season is under way, starting last Wednesday with both teams at home in scrimmage games against Stratton Mountain School.

For those who love to play, soccer is as much an art as it is a sport. There are golden moments in which time slows and all of the pieces of the physics puzzle fall into place. A pass lands at your feet and your shooting foot is already cocked. And, sure enough, into the goal it goes. For those who love to watch the game, witnessing these moments are like watching the inner workings of a fine watch: wonders to behold.

The regular season starts today. Last year both teams went all the way to win the River Valley Athletic League championship. This year's teams are exhibiting that same passion to play well. We'll see how it ends when it ends. But for right now, it's a beautiful day to play a beautiful game.
