Senior Exhibitions: Then and Now

Senior Exhibitions are the highlight of many Putney academic careers. They're an all-or-nothing gamble in which students drop one of their classes in the spring and use the time to create an individualized project that delves deeply into their own academic areas of interest. In the spring of 1960, Eli Noyes created "High Noon," below, which still stands on its own as a fine piece of fimmaking art, despite being made by a high school student over 50 years ago. It's no real surprise that Eli is still breaking ground in film as president of Alligator Planet. Meanwhile, Varney '12 is putting the final touches on her labrynth project (pictured here), which is installed on the lawn of, coincidentally, Noyes dormitory.
