Charitable Work Day

Charitable Work Day at The Putney School is our way of contributing to the greater community by donating our labor towards a cause. This year’s Charitable Work Day will take place on Saturday, April 14th, 2018.

This year, the Putney School’s Charitable Work Day will be supporting The Putney Foodshelf. The foodshelf was created with the mission “to provide supplemental healthy food for area people in need.” The Putney Foodshelf provides supplemental, healthy food to anyone in need, regardless of income or status. Last year, they hauled a record 82,797 pounds of food into the Foodshelf, serving more than 6,300 people.

If you live in the greater Windham County area, please consider hiring Putney School students at $10-15/hour per student (sliding scale - pay what you can) to do yard work or household tasks (raking, painting, cleaning etc.). All proceeds will go towards providing healthy, fresh food to Putney area citizens.

Help us to support this organization and the valuable work that they do!

To request student workers for April 14th, please complete and submit the form on the right.
