Your bequest supports our continued work fostering clear thinkers, compassionate citizens, and empowered doers. Bequests remain the most powerful way for alumni, parents, and friends to ensure that this educational experience endures. They are vital to our vision for the future of Putney and of progressive education at large.
Leave Putney a specific dollar amount, or percentage of your estate
Donate a particular asset to our campus, such as real estate or art.
Establish Putney as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, 401(k), 403(b), appreciated securities, bank or brokerage account.
Establish a charitable gift annuity to provide income to you (or a loved one) for life, with funds eventually being distributed to Putney.
Name Putney as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy.
Since many legacy gifts do not require you to part with assets during your lifetime, you may be able to make your most significant contributions to Putney through your estate plans. By remembering Putney in your estate plans, you will help to transform the future, and inspire others to follow in your footsteps. Legacy gifts to Putney are 100% deductible for estate tax purposes. If you are age 70 1/2 or older and have an IRA account, you can support Putney, satisfy your required annual distributions (if you are age 73 or older), and avoid income tax that you would otherwise have to pay on mandatory withdrawals.
