Additional Details

We encourage you to stay on campus, as it allows you to fully re-immerse yourself in Putney. Housing is available in single or double rooms on campus, with shared bathrooms.  Each reunion class or group will have its own dorm. Contact your friends if you're hoping to room together or near each other, and just let us know your roommate preference. Alumni are welcome to stay Sunday night in the dorms as well, at no extra charge, if they would like to spend an extra day on campus.

If you would prefer to stay off campus, we have a list of local accommodations.

Alumni Art Show 2018
Putney alumni and their guests are invited to participate in an alumni art show that will hang in the Currier Center Gallery during reunion weekend. Contact Brian Cohen if you'd like to participate. Please note that people are responsible for transportation of the art to and from campus.

Traditions and Activities
We have Friday Night Sing (view the Sing book table of contents), a contra dance, and time to linger on campus in old familiar spaces. On Saturday morning there will be a madrigal singing activity.

Kids' Activities
On Saturday morning, we'll offer kids' play time, supervised by Putney students, and on Saturday night, you can enjoy your class banquet with friends while Putney students entertain your kids with pizza and movies in a dorm common room.  Please be sure to let us know if you'd like to participate, so we can plan appropriately.

Car: We suggest you use Google Maps if you're relying on your phone or your computer for directions. Both the front and back ways are marked with green signs that say "The Putney School." The school's address is 418 Houghton Brook Rd., Putney, VT 05346.

Air: The nearest airport is Bradley International in Hartford, CT.  You could also fly into Manchester, NH, as well as Boston, MA, although Boston is at least an hour farther away than Bradley or Manchester.

Train and Bus:  The train and bus both run to Brattleboro, VT.  You will need transportation up to campus once you arrive, so contact us if this is your plan, and we can help.

Complete this form if you might need or be able to offer a ride

Fitness and Fresh Air
The Field House will be open all weekend, we'll lead two walks up Putney Mountain, and you'll have ample time throughout the weekend to walk the trails and enjoy the quiet.

Help Plan Reunion
Would you like to help plan your reunion?  Do you have ideas for class activities?  Are you willing to send a few emails and contact some friends?  If so, please contact us.  Word of mouth and encouragement from friends is, hands down, the most effective way to get a great reunion turnout.

Marty Brennan-Sawyer and the entire KDU staff throw their creativity and skill into Reunion weekend, and we offer great food all weekend.  Dinners include an open bar with beer and wine. Your registration costs covers meals and drinks for the entire weekend. From farm-fresh eggs to in-season pie, the food at Putney is always a treat.  We'll even have The Putney Special for those nostalgic souls. The Putney School is a proud member of the Vermont Fresh Network.

You will be able to buy Putney gear throughout the weekend in the campus bookstore, located in Old Boys dorm.

We'll post links to any Facebook groups that are created for the 2016 reunion. For now, you can join pages for Putney Boomers, Putney Alumni, and you can always "like" The Putney School.
